| 内容記述 | 電子メールはインターネット上において手軽で最も利用されているコミュニケーションツールとして我々の生活において必要不可欠なものとなっている．メールは仕事や日常生活での情報交換だけにとどまらず，緊急時の連絡手段としても利用されている．しかしひとたび大規模な災害や重度の障害が発生すると，一定時間メールの送受信ができなくなり，非常に大きな混乱を招く恐れがある．そこでメールを利用できない時間を極力減らすために，メールシステムが復旧するまでの間に一時的に利用することを目的としたメールシステムを提案する．本提案では，あらかじめ物理的に離れた場所にサーバを設置しておく．受信したメールをネットニュースプロトコルを利用して他のサーバに配送するために，メールをニュース記事に変換して宛先メールアドレスに対応したニュースグループの記事として投稿する．投稿された記事はネットニュースの記事として配送される．ユーザはアクセス可能なサーバにアクセスしてメールを読む．これにより，メールシステム障害時でもユーザはメールを受信することが可能となる． | |||||||

| 内容記述 | Email is one of the most popular and easy-to-use communication tools on the Internet. It is essential for our life these days. Email is a way to exchange information also in emergency situation in addition to our business and daily life. Despite of that, once disasters or serious troubles occur, we can not send/receive email for a period of time. It will make great confusion. In order to reduce the unavailable time as much as possible, we propose a system designed for temporal use while the original server is in failure. The servers are assumed to be installed in remote sites. Each received message is converted into a netnews article and posted to dedicated newsgroup corresponding to the recipient of the message. Then it is delivered to other servers with NNTP (NetNews Transfer Protocol). End users are able to read their messages accessing to any available server. That makes users accessible to incoming messages even if their usual servers are not available by failure. | |||||||
