• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 英単語を日本語として借用する場合，英単語の発音のまま借用し，それを片仮名で表記する場合が多い．ここでは，英語と日本語の音韻体系について考察し，英単語の綴り字から置き換え規則を用いて片仮名へ自動変換する方法について述べる．この方法は単音節語の変換については有効であることがわかった．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: When we use English words as Japanese, in most cases, we borrow the pronunciations of the English words and write those in "katakana". This paper considers the phonological system of English and that of Japanese, and describes a method which transliterates automatically the spelling of English words into "katakana" using the rewrite rules. Proposed method can be used to the transliterations of monosyllables.
