• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: インターネット黎明期には，キャンパスネットワークは，研究開発や実証実験の場として，最先端の技術で構成されることもあった．しかし，インターネット成熟期にある現在，キャンパスネットワークはライフラインの 1 つとなりつつあり，最先端であることよりも，接続性が最優先されがちである．その結果か，キャンパスネットワークは，最新技術はおろか，枯れた技術ばかりで構築され，遅れている感すらある．そこで，小規模大学である鳥取大学における古の技術を活用したキャンパスネットワークモダナイゼーションへの取り組みについて，紹介し，議論する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In the early days of the Internet, campus networks were testbeds for state-of-the-art technology for research and development and demonstration experiments. However, now that the Internet has matured, campus networks are becoming one of the lifelines, and stable connectivity tends to be the top priority rather than state-of-the-art technology. As a result, campus networks employ only dead technologies, let alone the latest technologies, and are even lagging. This paper introduces and discusses the efforts of Tottori University, a small university, to modernize its campus network with old technologies.
