• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 2022 年 11 月現在，カナダでは，（1）消費者プライバシー保護法案，（2）個人情報及びデータ保護審判所法案，（3）人工知能及びデータ法案を含む 2022 年デジタル憲章実施法案が政府より提出され，議会で審議されている．カナダは民間部門のデータ保護法において早くに欧州からの十分性認定を得ているが，データ保護制度の大きな変更はなされてきていなかったところ，同法案は個人情報・データ保護審判所の設置，プライバシーコミッショナーの権限強化，高額の罰金の導入など，データ保護・AIに関する大幅な制度導入を含む．本発表では，デジタル憲章実施法案の現状を概観した上で，我が国情報法制への示唆を得る．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: As of November 2022, the Government of Canada has submitted the Digital Charter Implementation Act of 2022, which includes (1) the Consumer Privacy Protection Bill, (2) Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Bill, and (3) the AI and Data Bill, for consideration in Parliament. While Canada was an early adopter of European sufficiency in its private sector data protection legislation, but no major changes had been made to its data protection system, the bill would include a significant introduction of data protection and AI, including the establishment of a Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal, more power for the privacy commissioner, and the introduction of hefty fines. In this presentation, the current status of the Digital Charter Implementation Act is outlined, and suggestions for Japan's information legal system are given.
