本研究では，発言に含まれる単語の抽象度を用いた議論可視化システムAbstNebulaを提案する．CSCL分野の発展にともない，グループ内で生じる知識収束を可視化するシステムが求められている．しかし，既存の手法は，話題の変化やターンテイキングの可視化が中心であり，知識収束の過程で生じる抽象度の上昇や下降については十分に可視化されていない．そこで，本研究では，半径を抽象度，角度を議論時間とすることで，発言の抽象度を可視化した．評価実験では6グループを対象として議論データを収集し，知識収束の過程とAbstNebulaによって可視化された情報とを比較した．その結果，具体例を用いた吟味が周縁部の単語の増加という形で可視化されることや，議論序盤の意見に回帰する形の抽象化が，可視化される単語の減少という形で現れることが明らかになった．本研究により，知識収束への理解を深めるための，新しい可視化技術への展開が期待される． |

This study proposes AbstNebula, a visualization system that represents the abstractness of words in utterances to support the understanding of knowledge convergence in group discussions. While prior systems in CSCL primarily focus on topic shifts and turn-taking, they lack effective visualization of abstraction dynamics―how discussion becomes more general or specific over time. AbstNebula visualizes the knowledge convergence process by mapping the abstractness to radial distance and discussion time to angular position. In an evaluation involving six discussion groups, we compared the visualization with actual knowledge convergence processes. The results showed that concrete examination using examples was visualized as an increase in words located at the periphery, whereas abstraction reverting to early-stage opinions appeared as a reduction in the number of visualized words. This approach offers a novel direction for visualizing and analyzing knowledge convergence. |
