| 内容記述 | 学生や教職員の教育・研究・学習環境の改善のために，公衆無線LANでもeduroamのサービスを提供したいという要求があり，各国が様々な枠組みで対応してきた．反対に，市民の学習環境の改善のためにキャンパスに公衆無線LANを導入する事例もある．筆者らは，社会全体におけるICT環境の整備推進という観点で，キャンパス無線LANと公衆無線LANの間の垣根を減らした，新しい無線LANインフラのあり方を提唱してきた．国内では，2018年に市民向けのセキュア公衆無線LANとしてCityroamを立ち上げた．2020年にはWireless Broadband AllianceにおいてOpenRoamingが立ち上がった．それぞれのローミングフェデレーション（連合）は，少しずつ異なるポリシーを有しているため，単純な相互接続はできない．一方，基地局を効率的に展開するためには，ローミングに必要な認証連携基盤の簡素化が課題である．本研究では，様々なフェデレーションの利用者に無線LANサービスを提供するCityroamの機能を，簡便なシステム構成によって実現することを目的として，eduroamとOpenRoamingを統合する認証連携アーキテクチャを開発した．このアーキテクチャをCityroamの認証連携基盤に取り入れて，設計どおりの機能が実現できることを確認し，実用化した． | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | There has been a demand to provide eduroam services over public wireless LANs in order to improve the education, research, and learning environment for students and faculty, and various countries have responded with different frameworks. On the other hand, there are also cases where public wireless LANs are introduced on campuses to improve the learning environment for citizens. From the perspective of promoting the development of ICT environments throughout society, we have advocated a new form of wireless LAN infrastructure that reduces the barriers between campus wireless LANs and public ones. In Japan, we launched Cityroam in 2018 as a secure public wireless LAN for citizens. In 2020, OpenRoaming was launched by the Wireless Broadband Alliance. Simple interconnection between different roaming federations is not possible since each federation has slightly different policies. On the other hand, it is necessary to simplify the authentication federation infrastructure required for roaming in order to efficiently deploy many access points. In this research, we developed an identity federation architecture that integrates eduroam and OpenRoaming with the aim of realizing the functions of Cityroam, which provides wireless LAN services to users of various federations, with a simple system configuration. We incorporated this architecture into Cityroam's authentication federation infrastructure, confirmed that the designed functions can be achieved, and put it into the production service. | |||||||||
