• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 本稿では、IntelligentPadの開発を通じて、著者のIntelligentPadに対する意味付けがどのように変化してきたかを、メディア・ツールキットシステムからシンセティック・メディア・システム、さらにはミームメディア・システムへの変遷を追って述べ、IntelligentPadがどのように機能強化されてきたか、システムと設計者の共進化の過程を振り返る。さらに、ミームメディアにとって重要な、ネットワークを介した流通と市場（いちば）システムの提供に関して、WWWとNetscapeを用いたワールド・ワイドな市場システムの構築と、IntelligentPadをInternetのフロントエンドとした市場システムの構築、さらには、HTMLビューワのIntelligentPad部品としての実現について概説する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: The IntelligentPad system was first developed as a media toolkit system, then it was improved to become a synthetic media system, and is now aiming to become a meme media. It has been coevolving together with its architect's understanding of the system. This paper first describes this coevolution process, and in the latter half it describes how the IntelligentPad system can provide new media called pads for the world-wide distribution of various intellectual resources through the Internet. It proposes three systems. The first one uses Netscape as a catalog of pads to form a world-wide market place of pads. The second one uses the IntelligentPad itself as a frontend of the Internet to form a functionally enriched world-wide market place of pads. The third one provides an HTML viewer as a pad on which any composite pad, even another HTML viewer pad, can be pasted to distribute itself together with the content HTML sentences. The third one seamlessly integrates HTML browsers with the pad distribution system.
