• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 近年のネットワークやコンピュータの進歩により、サイバースペースの基盤研究が盛んになってきた。我々は、これまで開発してきたCommunityPlaceシステム[4][5]上に、パーソナルエージェント指向の仮想社会PAW (ersonal Agent Worl)を構築し、大規模な仮想社会の実験を行ってきたが、実験が進むにつれ広大な仮想空間の遠隔地間のユーザと連絡を取りながら行動したいという要求が高まった。そこで、携帯電話機能を導入し、遠隔地間のコミュニケーションを可能にした。 本論文ではこの携帯電話機能の概要と実装方法について述べ、運用実験での利用動向調査から評価した結果について述べる。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: With the progress or network and computer technologies, a lot of basic studies on cyberspace have been made active. We constructed the personal agent-oriented virtual society "PAW (Personal Agent World)" on the CommunityPlace system and it was widely used by many users experimentally. Examining the status of use and users' reaction to the PAW, we found that users had the need for a new function of distance communication, which enable users to communicate with others who are in far place in the vast PAW. Thus we realized the distance communication by adding the new function of Cellular Phone to PAW (the 2nd version). In this paper, we describe the new function of Cellular Phone, report the results of the conducting tests, and evaluate the function from the acccess records.
