• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 暗号資産・デジタル証券・NFT の構成要素であるパブリックブロックチェーンは，PoW（Proof-of-work）の作業量増大に伴い電力消費量も増している．そのため，パブリックブロックチェーンに由来する製品・サービスを 採用することは，企業のグリーントランスフォーメーション（GX）の施策と整合しない懸念がある．本稿は，考察の基礎となる統計情報を整理し，パブリックブロックチェーンの電力消費の主因であるマイニングに内在する問題やその対応策を整理する．また，パブリックブロックチェーン自体・マイニング事業者・利用者の観点から，環境負荷低 減策を考察する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Public blockchains, the lower layers of cryptocurrencies, security tokens, and Non-Fungible Token (NFT), are consuming more electricity due to increasing proof-of-work (PoW) workloads. Therefore, there is concern that the adoption of public blockchain-based products and services may not be aligned with enterprise green transformation efforts. In this paper, we summarize the statistics on which this is based and outline the issues inherent in mining, which is the main source of power consumption in public blockchains, and how to address them. We also consider measures to reduce the environmental impact from the perspective of the public blockchain itself, miners, and users.
