• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 現在開発中の画像DBのMMIについて報告する。本画像DBでは、ユーザは画像に関連した「カード」を介してすべての操作を行う。各「カード」はRDBMS上のタプル群から構成され、ウィンドウシステムにより実現される。DBに対しては「カード操作指示ボタン」や「間合せウィンドウ」を用いた一般的な操作のほか、「間合せマクロボタン」等を用いたユーザやアプリケーションに適応した操作も可能であり、ユーザはこれらの手段を用いてカードの操作を行えるのでRDBMSを意識する必要がない。更にカード間の動的なリンク付けを行うと共に、「領域タプル」と「問い合わせオーバーレイ」により直接指示問合せを実現するハイパーテキスト風の機能を持つ。これらの機能により操作性の良い画像DBが実現できる。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: We describe a Man-Machine Interface(MMI) for our developing Image DataBase Management System(IDBMS). In our IDBMS, all manipulations for an image are performed through "cards". Each "card" is consists of tuples on a Relational Data Base Management System(RDBMS) and operates through a window system. Our IDBMS has several ways to manipulate the database. One is a general way through "card manipulation buttons" or "query window" and the other is a user or application oriented way through "query macro-buttons". A user can manipulate the "cards" through these ways, so the user doesn't have to pay any attention to RDBMS. And our IDBMS has hyper text like functions which link cards dynamically and enable direct manipulating queries through "regional tuples" and "query overlays". Thus, we have obtained an easy to operate image database.
