| 内容記述 | Obaseプロジェクトは，オブジェクト指向データベース管理システム(ject?Oriented Database Management System，OODB)の調査研究と応用技術研究，さらに現在のOODBMSの概念や機能をさらに発展させた次世代型のOODBMSであるObaseシステムの開発研究を行なう共同研究プロジェクトである．このプロジェクトは（財）千里国際情報事業財団によって主催され，我が国の大学におけるオブジェクト指向データベース研究者やその応用に興味を持つ研究者，および，オブジェクト指向データベースシステムやその応用技術などに興味を持つ企業の技術者・研究者によって構成される，マルチクライアント型の研究コンソシアムである．ここでは，本Obaseプロジェクトの目的，計画の概要，および現在の活動状況などについて述べる． | |||||||

| 内容記述 | The Obase project is a cooperative research project for investigating current technologies of the Object-Oriented Database Management Systems (OODBMSs), exploring application development technologies based on OODBMSs, and developing the next-generation OODBMS prototype, which enhances the concepts and functionalities of current OODBMSs. This project is a multi-client research consortium organized by the Senri International Information Institute (SIII), consisting of university OODB-researchers and industry engineers/researchers who have interests in OODBMSs and their application development technology. In this paper, we will briefly describe the objectives, the research plan and the current situation of the activities of the Obase project. | |||||||
