• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 近年，無線通信技術および計算機ハードウェア技術の急速な発展により，無線通信機能を備えた携帯端末などを利用することで，利用者は場所を固定せずにネットワーク上のさまざまなサービスを利用できるようになった．このような環境において，利用者の位置に応じた適切な情報を利用したいという要求が高まっており，サービス実現のための処理方法が研究されつつある．しかし，データベースの情報を継続して利用する状況においては，これらの研究は十分であるとは言えない．これに対して筆者らは，移動体環境において効率良くデータベースを利用するためのデータ管理モデルとして，移動体ビューとよぶビューメカニズムを提案している[8]．いくつか提案されている移動体ビューのうちの位置依存ビューを利用することで，利用者は自分の位置に応じた情報を容易に利用することができる．本稿では，この位置依存ビューの特徴をふまえていくつかの可能な維持手法を考え，トラヒック量の観点からこれらの定量的な比較を行なう．そして，移動頻度などのパラメータに応じて最適な手法がどのように変化するかを示す．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: As technologies of wireless communication and computer hardware have been rapidly growing, users can access to a wide variety of information from anywhere using handy terminals with wireless communication equipments. In such environments, it has been often pointed out that, if we have the facility which enables us to choose automatically the available database depending on the location of users, there are many applications using this facility. Based on our model MobiView which we proposed in our previous paper[8], the location-dependent views provide this facility. However, as for the database access realizing location-dependent views, few performance evaluation studies have so far been done. Therefore, in this paper, we consider several possible methods for maintaining location-dependent views and analyze their performance in the traffic point of view. As the result, we show how the most appropriate method depends on several network conditions such as the frequency of mobility.
