With the widespread use of social networking services (SNS) and the advancement of recommendation algorithms, users are increasingly exposed only to information that aligns with their own values. As a result, closed information spaces are more likely to form. Such environments can easily become a breeding ground for political polarization and radicalization. One proposed approach to mitigating the closed nature of these information spaces is to provide opportunities for users to engage with others who hold different political ideologies or to experience phenomena such as filter bubbles. However, it is often difficult to have such experiences in practice. As a means to simulate these opportunities, large language model (LLM) agents embodying diverse political ideologies have recently been attracting attention. In this study, we explore the feasibility of generating such LLM agents by defining political ideology along two axes―economic values and social values―and by employing in-context learning (ICL) to endow LLMs with various ideological perspectives. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method can generate agents representing specific political ideologies, such as [Extremely left-wing, Extremely left-wing] and [Extremely right-wing, Extremely left-wing]. Meanwhile, it was found that generating agents corresponding to [Extremely left-wing, Extremely right-wing] and [Extremely right-wing, Extremely right-wing] ideologies remains challenging.
