• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: McLuhanは，メディアは身体の一部であり，私たち自身の拡張であると述べた．人は，使っているメディアに合わせて，その身体が変化する．その変化が好ましいものであれば，メディアに「のまれる」ことがあっても構わないであろう．しかし，好ましくない変化であれば，「あらがう」必要がある．テクノロジーによってもたらされるこの身体の変化を是とするか否とするかは，拠り所とする価値観によって決まる．その価値観の一つとして，古典的人工物と認知的人工物の違いに着目し，認知的人工物の使用に対して警戒する必要があることを示す．その上で，現代におけるeメディアの誘惑に「のまれる」べきか「あらがう」べきかについて考察し，「のまれる」と「あらがう」の分岐点を探るとともに，その過程を情報倫理教育に展開する可能性について述べる．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: McLuhan said that medium is part of our bodies, and extension of ourselves. Our bodies change according to the media we use. If the change is favorable, we may "depend" on the media. However, if it is unfavorable, we need to "defend". Whether or not we approve of this change in our bodies brought about by technology depends on our values. As one of these values, I focus on the difference between classical artifacts and cognitive artifacts, and show that we need to be cautious about the use of cognitive artifacts. Then, I consider whether we should "depend" or "defend" by the temptation of e-media in modern times, and explore the bifurcation point between "depend" and "defend". I also discuss the possibility of developing this process into information ethics education.
