ビデオ会議では共有資料の閲覧やチャット・メールへの返信など，複数のタスクが同時に発生することがある．このようなマルチタスクを伴うビデオ会議では，他の会議参加者の様子を確認できず，表情やジェスチャーなどの非言語情報を得ることが困難となる．そして，非言語情報の不足は円滑な話者交替を妨げる．本研究の目的はマルチタスクを伴うビデオ会議において円滑な話者交替が行われる要因を明らかにすることである．本研究では，前述したビデオ会議を設計し，非円滑な話者交替，特に沈黙が発生する前の参加者の視線パターンを分析することで，それが発生する要因を調査した．実験の結果，共有資料やチャット画面を注視する行為の有無は沈黙の発生に影響を与えにくく，また，沈黙が発生する直前に現話者が前話者を注視しやすいという傾向が見られた．これらの結果を踏まえ，マルチタスクを伴うビデオ会議中に沈黙が発生する要因に関する３つの仮説を立てた． |

During video conferences, tasks such as viewing shared materials or replying to chats and emails may arise. In such multitasking video conferences, it becomes difficult to observe other participants and obtain nonverbal information like facial expressions and gestures. This lack of nonverbal information hinders smooth speaker transitions. The purpose of this study is to clarify the factors enabling smooth speaker transitions in multitasking video conferences. This study aims to investigate the factors causing unsmooth speaker transitions, particularly the occurrence of silence, by analyzing participants' gaze behavior immediately preceding such silences in the video conferences. The results of the experiment showed that whether participants focused on shared materials or the chat screen had little effect on the occurrence of silence. Furthermore, a tendency was observed where the current speaker tended to focus on the previous speaker immediately before silence occurred. Based on these findings, we proposed three hypotheses regarding the factors that cause silence during video conferences involving multitasking. |
