We present Hoppin' Board, a smart signage system designed to trigger local mobility by combining real-time transportation data with nearby spot information. The system displays bus locations, parking availability, and up-to-date opening hours of local restaurants on large public screens, encouraging residents and visitors to make spontaneous trips. Content is delivered from a cloud server and updated frequently, supporting multiple form factors such as displays and tablets. Developed in collaboration with local stakeholders in Kashiwa-no-ha, this approach offers a lightweight, context-aware solution for enhancing community engagement and urban vitality. |
