• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 拡張可能配列は実行時に動的に任意の次元方向にそのサイズを拡張できる配列である．本論文では，拡張可能配列の実現方式とその共有方式，および，それらに基づくDBMSの設計と実現について述べる．提案する共有方式ではサーバ上に置かれる拡張可能配列の一部分または全部を複数のクライアント間で共有できる．共有配列はクライアントに局所的に宣言され，初期配列としてサーバ上の拡張可能配列の任意の部分を共有する．共有宣言後，共有配列はクライアントに局所的に拡張できる．この局所的な拡張部分およびサーバ側の共有部分を併せて単一の拡張可能配列として論理的に扱える．任意の拡張可能配列は二次記憶上に永続配列として格納できる．本論文では操作上，有用な拡張可能配列の2，3の性質を導き，共有する際の問題点とそれを解決する方法についても述べる．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: An extendible array is an array whose size can expand dynamically in any directions at runtime of the program. This paper described an implementation scheme of extendible arrays and their sharing scheme. It also describes the design and implementation of a DBMS based on these schemes. In our sharing scheme, a part of or whole of an extendible array placed on the server side can be shared among many clients. A sharing array can be declared locally to a client, and it initially shares arbitrary part of an extendible array on the server side. After the initial sharing, it can be extended locally to the client. The locally extended part on client side together with the shared part on server side can be logically handled as a single extendible array. A set of extendible arrays can be persistently stored on the secondary storage. In this paper, after introducing properties of extendible arrays for their convenient manipulations, we also describe some important design issues stressing on sharing schemes.
