• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 様々なローカル無線アクセス網を光回線によって接続したネットワークを意味する Fiber-Wireless ネットワーク （FiWi ネットワーク） のコンセプトが提唱されてから約 10 年が経過しようとしている．当初は，物理レイヤでの無線と有線の融合ならびに全体としての高速化などが主要な技術課題であったが，近年は省電力化や低遅延といった性能の向上を目指す SmartFiber-Wireless（SFiWi） の研究も進められている．そして，多様な要求を満足することができる SFiWi ネットワークは，サイバーフイジカルシステム （CPS） の実現に欠かすことができないモノのインターネット （IoT） を構成する重要なネットワーク基盤としての役割を担うことが期待される．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Ten years have passed since the first proposal of Fiber-Wireless network (FiWi network), a network that use optical networks to connect various local wireless access networks. In the early days of FiWi network, one of the major technical problems is the integration of wireless and optical wired at the physical layer while also improving the performance of the overall network. However, with the recent success of Smart Fiber-Wireless (SFiWi) networks, performance, energy consumption level, and latency are drastically improved. Due to this, SFiWi is expected to play an important role in proving fundamental backbone for Internet of Things, which in turn is an integral part of Cyber Physical System (CPS).
