• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 身装文化画像データベースシステムの作成過程について述べる。このデータベースは、明治維新以降、約100年間の日本の身装画像、約2万件を対象としている。採録対象となった基本画像資料は、当該期間の絵画と写真である。本データベースは、文化人類学および芸術学の研究と教育に、あるいは映画・舞台等のシーンづくりに役立つと考えられる。そのためには、画像にあらわれた身装に関連するモノとコトガラ(事物)の事実性が問われることとなる。まず、事物の事実性を評価し、情報化する方法を述べ、つぎに、検索項目と、シソーラスにあたる<身装画像概念コード表2003>について述べる。このコード表の特徴のひとつは、当該期間の"美しいひと"という感性概念に相当する、検索コードを設定していることである。最後に、検索システムについて述べ、検索過程を提示している．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: This paper describes the process of construction of costume image database system. This database deals with 20,000 costume images in about 100 year Japan since Meiji restoration. The basic image data adopted is a picture and a photograph in the concerned period. This database is useful for the study and the education of ethnology and art. And it is also useful for making the scene of movie and stage. For its purpose, the fact of the things about costume illustrated in image is considered important. First, the evaluation and the way of making information of the fact of the things are described. Second, retrieval items and thesaurus<costume concept code table 2003> are described. One of the characteristics of this code table is to have set the code that is possible to retrieve the feeling concept "beautiful woman" in the concerned period. Lastly, retrieval system is described and retrieval process is presented.
