• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 聴覚情報で視覚情報を表現することには、視覚代行、新しいヒューマンインタフェースとして意義がある．画像の平均RGB強度および色の明るさを合成音声の日本語母音／a，i，u／および振幅にそれぞれ対応させ、画像のxy軸への投影値を基本周波数に対応させる．本稿では、このシステムの概要を述べ、8色および均一な背景の簡単な幾何図形についての実験結果を報告する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: The expression of visual information by auditory information is of great significance as an aid for the visually handicapped and a new human interface. We have tried to represent image features by synthetic speech by letting average color of an image correspond to the Japanese vowels /a,i,u/, the brightness to amplitude, and the projections of the image to fundamental frequency of vowels. Discrimination experiments on color and simple figures were also carried out. This paper describes initial effort of our attempt and result of experimentions on 8 kinds of color and simple figure discrimination in uniform color background.
