We have tried to represent image features by synthetic speech by letting average color of an image correspond to the Japanese vowels /a,i,u/, the brightness to amplitude, and the projections of the image to fundamental frequency of vowels. Discrimination experiments on color and simple figures were also carried out. This paper describes initial effort of our attempt and result of experimentions on 8 kinds of color and simple figure discrimination in uniform color background.},
