• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: WWWは1989年にCERNにおいて提案された，ハイパーテキストの概念に基づく分散型情報システムである．その特徴は）Internetに散在する情報をハイパーテキストの概念で整理し，）ハイパーテキスト情報をやりとりするための手段を提供し，）Internet上のさまざまなリソースを指定するための統一的な手段を提供するというものである．WWWの中心概念であるHTML，HTTP，URLによりInternet上のさまざまなリソースをハイパーテキスト化する枠組が与えられた．すなわちHTML文書，画像，音声，Gopher，WAIS，オンラインデータベースなどさまざまな形態のメディアを，WWWという一つの世界の中で統合して扱うことが可能になった．WWWはさまざまなメディアを取りまとめるための共通基盤として大きな可能性を持っている．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: WWW is a distributed information system based on the idea of HyperText, which is designed by Tim Berners-Lee at CERN at 1989. WWW has the caracteristic that 1) combines the information which is distrubuted to the whole Internet world, 2) produces the means to exchange Hyper Text docments, 3) gives the univarsal descritption to designate various resources on the Internet. WWW includes the concepts HTML, HTTP, URL. WWW has enabled us to integrate various media such as HTML documents, images, sounds, Gopher services, WAIS services and soon. WWW is expected to contribute to realize the common environment in which different media are able to integrate.
