• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: グローバルに利用されているソーシャルメディアやメッセージングサービスについて，その一部は利用者の死後のデータの扱いを明記している．サービスの利用者はどのように考えているのか，サービスの利用頻度や目的と，自分の死後そのデータをどのように扱いたいかの意向について日本 ・米国 ・フランスの比較調査を実施した．その結果，FB と Instagram については，日本は削除が大半を占めた一方で，米国では 「追悼モード」 での保存が多数を占めた．また，Twitter については，日本では情報収集が利用目的であり，死後も大半は削除を希望しているが，米国 ・フランスでは日常的なコミュニケーション手段として使われており，削除を希望する割合も少ないなど，国による違いが見えた．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: How to treat online accounts after death has become an urgent issue. Some social network services (SNSs) offer an antemortem option to decide the treatment of postmortem accounts. Retained profiles allow a form of continued communication with the deceased, and they support grieving among the bereaved. However, the privacy of the deceased with respect to their online accounts is not protected by comprehensive laws or terms of service. Intentions of deceased and bereaved are not always similar so that it is necessary to develop guidelines for the treatment of postmortem accounts. We conducted an online survey in Japan, the United States, and France to examine intention of user themselves about how they wished their SNS accounts to be handled after death or not. As results, we found significant differences in the desired handling of accounts according to country of residence, purpose of use, and partially to screen name usage.
