• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 我々は オフィスでの対面コラボレーションをPCで支援する環境について検討している.これまでコンピュータで会議を支援する試みは多くあるが 今でも会議室でのコンピュータの利用が進んできているとはいいがたい.そこで オフィスに普及しているPCをベースにしたシステムを構築し 利用者の行動を観察することで コラボレーションにおけるコンピュータの役割を見直すことを考えた.今回試作した評価システム(Dynacs会議システム)は 電子白板と出席者用のPCからなっており 利用者は手元のPCから資料を配布し 電子白板を操作できるようになっている.なお 出席者用のPCについては 日頃利用するノートPCの持ち込みが可能になるように コラボレーション環境を動的に実現する仕組みを取り入れた.評価システムは 1997年10月から1年間で200回以上の会議で使われており 繰り返し利用するユーザも多い.利用者の多くは デスクトップPCで作成したワープロ資料を電子的に配布し その資料を基に議論するという従来からのスタイルを維持している.しかし 電子白板に表示している資料を 議論しながら結論に合わせて修正するなどの新しい行動も出てきている.文字を入力する会議では会議時間が長くなる傾向にあるが 資料の再利用が可能 出席者の間で思い違いが少ないなどのメリットを感じている人が多い.

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Many research groups have developed computer support systems for face-to-face meetings in the past, but few people use computers in meetings now. With this in mind we designed an experimental system composed of standard PCs, and analyzed the behavior of participants under computer support. Our goal is to make clear the effect of computers in a collaboration support system composed of mobile PCs. Our system, which we call "Dynacs", has a large screen PC to publicly display, and notebook PCs for participants. In this system, the mouse and the keyboard of the public PC is controlled by the private PCs. Our system has been used in our office over 200 times within a year. Although users maintain the conventional meeting style in which attendants distribute materials first and discuss contents of them, some of them discover a style more suitable to computer supported meetings. For example, they modify contents of the materials according to the results of the discussion during meetings. Many participants think this systems is useful, because they can use the collaboratively updated material after the meeting, and because they feel that this system will help avoid misunderstandings among them about the results.
