Compared with the conventional Pinyin method, the number of candidates is decreased with specifying the Chinese tone by tilting the mobile phone. The tilt operation does not need the additional input interface. Furthermore, the input time does not increase because the tone input by tilting is simultaneously done with the Pinyin method. From the experimental evaluation, we show that the proposed method can input the Chinese character about 12% faster than the Pinyin method.},
