 note = {佐賀大学では，学習管理システムの開発を行い，2005 年度後期からe-Learning の運用に供した．開発したシステムの核としてMoodle（Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment）を採用した．しかし，大学が管理している学籍番号を主とする名箋情報に対してMoodle のユーザ情報に不足している項目がある．また，学習状況の表示も大学の授業として管理しやすい状態にはなっていない．そこで，我々は，佐賀大学におけるe-Learning への要求を考慮し，Moodle をカスタマイズした．この際，モジュールでの機能追加の手法が確立されているXOOPS（eXtensible Object Oriented Portal System）にe-Learning の管理機能をモジュールとして組み込み，Moodle と連携させた．これにより，大学の要求を満たすe-Learning の新システムを実現することができた．このカスタマイズの方法は，日本の他の大学においても役立つものと考える．本論文では，Moodle とXOOPS を基盤とする，日本の大学教育システムに適合した新しい学習管理システムの開発と，運用の結果について報告する．, In this paper, we describe design and development of our new LMS (Learning Management System) for VOD (Video-On-Demand) style e-Learning courses and demonstrate its benefits through our operation in Saga University, Japan. We have decided to use open source e-Learning platform for extensible system to satisfy variety of demands in affordable cost. Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) and XOOPS (eXtensible Object Oriented Portal System) are combined to achieve original function customization and expansion so that our LMS cooperates with other information systems in campus. Our LMS is characterized by the following five points: (1) original user management compatible to students' management system in the instruction section, (2) interoperability is guaranteed in compliance with Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) (3) easy and simple login and user management by integrated authentication mechanism in our campus network, (4) flexible function customization and expansion, and (5) inexpensive development, operation and maintenance. Since last October, our new LMS has been offering our e-Learning courses without any major problems and we have confirmed that our new LMS satisfies our demands. After minor improvements and modification, we are going to release our system as open-source software.},
