Dalvik virtual machine hasGC (garbage collection) function, thus application developers do nothave to release memory by themselves. However, this GC functionsuspends application, which is called STW, during garbage collection. In this paper, we evaluate STW time of Dalvik GC and show that it isnot enough short in some cases.
