Despite the awareness of the importance of understanding the real structure, the complete picture of a real-life supply network has remained remarkably elusive mainly due to the difficulties in acquiring comprehensive empirical data sets. This study presents novel date that characterizes the Toyota supply network, and provide a thorough analysis of its structure, by employing concepts/metrics developed through complex network science.
