Our method utilizes both characteristic sequences called as boxes and secondary structure called as stems. We develop a structure model of boxC/D type snoRNA from actual sequences, and also determine a sequence include a boxC/D type snoRNA gene or not based on the matching ratio of the sequence and the model.
