However, it is difficult for system engineers to develop media analysis applications without detailed expert knowledge on each analysis technology. Therefore, we developed the Information Value Creation Platform (IVCP), with which system engineers can develop the media analysis applications more easily. This platform encapsulates the detailed algorithms of the media analysis in the media analysis engine components, provides standardized, engine independent protocol for exchanging the analysis metadata. Furthermore, this platform provides a middleware which stores and manages the metadata.
