The feature learning function is combined Self-Organizing Map(SOM) with multi-resolution analysis. We also describe a hardware implementation of feature learning and image recognition. The hardware is a SOM hardware sharing PE of feature region searching. In order to demonstrate the proposed hardware’s effectiveness, we compare the processing time of the hardware and a software implementation.
