• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 航空手荷物輸送システム等の空港システムへのRFID導入は、出入国管理の厳格化や航空機を使ったテロの防止など、保安上の目的が大きな要素を占めているという点が特色である。ASTREC（次世代空港システム技術研究組合）では、実際の空港施設、航空便、旅客手荷物を用いたRFIDタグの認識実験を行っており、実験は順調に推移している。今後の課題は「保安上の要求」「コスト」「利用者の利便性」のトレードオフをどう調整していくか、という問題に整理できる。だが、米国政府の政策が「保安上の要求」を強調しており、プロジェクトの実効性やコスト、社会的受容の面でバランスを欠いている点が課題である。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: A big purpose to introduce RFID technology to airport systems such as an aviation baggage transit system is higher security for immigration control, and prevention of airplane terrorism. It is a feature of this area. ASTREC (Advanced Airport Systems Technology Research Consortium) has recognition experiments of RFID tags using actual airport facilities, airlines, and passenger baggage. The experiments are being conducted favorably. A major problem for the future is to adjust the trade-off of "security", "cost", and "convenience of passengers." However, the U.S. Government emphasizes "security” too much, and lacks balance in respect of cost, social acceptance, effectiveness of projects
