In achieving it, we need to establish two models. One is the model of a sound of a raindrop, and the other is that of raindrops' distributions in the rain. In this paper we establish the latter model and generate a sound of rain in real time using samples of a sound of a raindrop. We made the application using IRIX (OSF/Motif, AudioLib, and etc...) on SGI workstation.
