In this study, we observed brain activity in colored-hearing synesthete by using fMRI when they listened to music. We compared activations between colored-hearing and non-colored-hearing subjects. Additionally, we analyzed the relationship between the common area of only oolored-hearing synesthetes and the regions of color perception. We found that only oolored-hearing synesthetes activate fusiform gyrus and superior frontal gyrus, and their activations in fusiform gyrus are located near the regions of oolor perception.
