• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 似顔絵の生成問題（特徴の抽出と誇張）と似顔絵の評価問題は、突き詰めれば同じ問題である。単に特徴の抽出と誇張のメカニズムを示しただけでは十分ではなく、評価メカニズムをどこかに組み入れなければ、問題は解決しない。本稿では、まず、誇張法（中割り法=in?betweening meth)による似顔絵生成方法を示し、その特長と問題点を整理する。次に、似顔絵の評価に錯視量が利用できる可能性について検討し、ヴント・フィック錯視、ポンゾ錯視など、具体的な錯視量の定義と誇張率の制御の方法を紹介する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In the PICASSO, a system for facial caricature generation, as the basic mechanisms to extract and deform the individuality features of faces have been already proposed, the next subject is to realize an autonomous mechanism to evaluate facial caricatures. In the PICASSO, some visual illusions such as Wundt-Fick and Ponzo illusions for example, are applied to evaluate the shapes of facial parts such as eye-brows, nose, mouth and face contour, in the deformation process. In many cases, as well-deformed caricatures are evaluated to be successful, it is confirmed that the utilization of the visual illusion is effective to evaluate caricatures.
