In our document databases, we utilized document reference and document classification information as well as the bibliographic information. Adding to the ordinary document retrieval functions, this enabled us to find relationships between documents, and to estimate the location of a document in a specific study field, and so forth. These functions lead the further development of the laboratory automation. Moreover, we implemented the integration facility of several document databases by which we can efficiently and effectively retrieve desired documents and locate them in several study fields.
