 note = {わが国で開発されたコンピュータによる描画ツールを、インドネシア・バリ島という異文化圏での実地利用、あるいは異文化間コミュニケーションへの応用に供するとともに、国際間の絵画共同制作実験を通じて、絵画におけるユーザ適応機能をそなえたインタフェースについての知見をえるための研究をおこなった。インドネシア国立芸術大学にシステムを導入した結果、描画ツールに対する習熟度によって、描かれる絵画の内容や技法が高度化し、伝統的な絵画技法とコンピュータグラフィクスならではの技法とが融合した新しいスタイルの萌芽がみられた。ISDNを介した国際間絵画共同制作実験では、描かれる絵画の内容、描画法などに、作者の属する環境や文化の違いが端的に反映され、相互の文化理解を促進するうえで有効なこころみとなった。, Using a graphic art system "SUISAI" and a collaboration art system "CASYS" in Bali, Indonesia, we studied on the user adaptive function of drawing interface and its contribution to international communication. We found that the characteristics of the graphic tool affected and advanced the drawing style of Balinese artists according to the proficiency of users. The international collaboration work through ISDN communication network showed a possibility to realize new style for live improvisation of drawing and cultural exchange.},
