• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 京都市の祇園の「祇」、葛野(かどの)の「葛」の文字は、『JIS X 0213:2004』で、変更になる。この２文字について、京都市での、使用の実態を報告する。研究資料としては、活字印刷ではないものを、使用する。店舗の看板、道路標識などである。(1).祇園は、伝統的に、新字体(「しめすへん」＝「ネ」)を使用している。(2).葛野は、旧字体(正字体)を使用する傾向にある。非文献資料による、文字研究の重要性を提言する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: The character of (GION) and Kadono (KADONO) in Kyoto-shi is changed in "JIS X 0213:2004". It reports the actual state of the use in Kyoto-shi on these 2 characters. It uses the one which is not letterpress printing as the material. It is a signboard, a road sign at the store and so on. (1). GION is using a new typeface traditionally. (2). KADONO tends to use a old form of the character. The character research by the material which is not a printing type is important.
