Four classical or modern literary texts, that is, \"Manyoo - shuu Anthology\" in Nara era, \"The Tale of Genji\" in Heian era, \"The Tale of the Heike\" in Muromachi era, and \"Collected Speeches of Soseki Natsume\" as modern literature were analyzed. A unique characteristic based on the exponential distribution in syllable statistics through four periods is described.
