Information technology has become important infrastructure to modern society. Understanding information technology and acquiring its basic skills / literacy are now regarded as an important competency for positive adaptation in the real world. In this paper, we describe the present tasks and future direction of information technology education in school education. Then we discuss new teaching methodologies, contents, demands and tasks on information technology education in consideration of curriculum articulation.},
