The purpose of this study is to develop a method to detect touches in an oil-painted picture and to describe the features of the picture. Touches are assumed to be detected by means of segmentation of regions based on hues of the Munsell Renotation System. In this study, an RGB-Munsell color transformation system has been developed and utilized.
