• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 接続詞は後文が前文に対して取り得る関係に一定の制約を与えるために，そのことが，読み手による文間の接続関係の理解の促進をもたらす，という議論が多くの研究者によってなされている．本稿では，接続詞 "しかし" に焦点を当て，後文の述部が前文の述部の値と同じ値を持つか，あるいは，その否定の値を持つ場合に，"しかし" が後文に対して与える制約の具体的形式化を行なう．そして，前文と後文がさまざまな統語構造上の関係を持つ場合に，"しかし" を間に持つ連文が容認可能なものとなる格関係を，それらの制約に基づいて，記述する．また，それぞれの容認可能な格関係を持つ連文において，後文に付加することが必要となる係助詞についても考察を行なう．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Many researchers point out that connectives restrict the relation which the latter sentence can take to the former sentence, and that such restrictions facilitate readers' understanding of the sentential relation. In this paper, we formalize restrictions which Japanese connective "shikashi" has on the latter sentence, in the case that the predicate of the latter sentence has either the same value or the negative value of the predicate of the former sentence. On the basis of the formalized restrictions, we specify the acceptable case relation between the sentences which have "shikasi" at the beginning of the latter sentence. We also discuss the necessity of postpositions(e.g. "wa") for the latter sentence in each acceptable case relation.
