• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 『IPAL名詞辞書』では見出し語のもつ用法を統語的特徴や意味的特徴によっていくつかに「下位区分」している。これまでは一般の国語辞書と同様に、単に下位区分を羅列的に示すだけであった。しかし、「用法の特定」など名詞辞書が実際に使用される場面を考えれば、どのような下位区分があるかだけではなく、下位区分間にどのような意味的関係があるかも重要な情報である。そこで本稿では、下位区分間の意味的関係を明示的に記述する方法を提案する。我々の方法は、比喩の手法であるメタファー、メトニミー、およびシネクドキに基づく意味の拡張関係に着目するものである。本稿では、我々の方法によって下位区分間のどのような関係を明らかにできるかを示す。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In our IPAL-BN (IPA Lexicon of Basic Japanese Nouns), usages of nouns are separately described based on the syntactic and semantic features. We call each of these descriptions a Subentry. Although conventional japanese dictionaries only enumerate various usages, it is also important to clarify semantic relations between those usages as well. Thus we propose a method for specifying the kind of relationship between Subentries, using special stylistic resources such as metaphors, metonymy, and synecdoche. We discuss how the method can be applied to the nouns included in the IPAL-BN.
