large-scale networks, a single central collecting process might not be able to process all flow records exported. A way to incrcase scalability  is sharing the load of processing flow records with a set of Flow concentrators that aggregate flow records received from routers and export the aggregated records. An Flow conccntrator is located between one or more routers and one or more  Traffic Collectors. Flow concentrator acts as collcctor towards exporting proccsses sending flow rccords and it acts as exporter towards collectors that rcceive flow records exported by the concentrator.
