SCTP \"Stream Control Transmission Protocol(RFC2960)\" and its \"ADD-IP\" extension enable to change an address of endhost without stopping communication. While in use of the automatic IP address update function, it is known that several problems which includes disconnection of communication and waisting time are likely to occur. In this research, we give an address selection policy to IP address automatic update function. When an endhost get a new IP address, it decides whether to use the IP address using this policy.
