Necessity of orientation tracking is considered as well as location tracking in order to provide the more intelligent services. To know orientation of a user or device we attach two infrared receiver modules in ubiTrack receiver. Two IR receiver modules attached in the ubiTrack receiver track location of themselves and they can track their orientation from their location information in order to know the location and orientation of a user and device. Two IR receiver modules provide the user with information of the each location and orientation and size of a user and device from the each location information. The ubiTrack receiver attached on the device broadcasts location information on a device to the environment. Thus the proposed method can provide the user with the location and orientation from the condition that user`s privacy problem is guaranteed. Experimental results show that it has an error within 15 degrees when tracks orientation of a device in home environment.
