In this paper, we propose and design security protocols for ITS Reservation and Downloading services in DSRC. In our proposed concept, a strict authentication is carried out in the reservation protocols, RDS issues a reservation ticket as an evidence of authentication, and a simple authentication based on the shared ticket is performed in the downloading protocol. These authentication protocols are lightweight, because authentication mechanism is mainly composed of hash functions.
