 note = {次世代の計算機環境の研究の基盤となる，分散型マルチメディアプラットフォームDEMPO　IIを開発した．以前開発したDENPOにはネットワーク管理システム，3次元的な画面を持つデスクトップ，雑談機能付き電子会議，マルチメディアデータベースの機能があったが、DEMPO　IIはその1年間の使用経験をもとに，機能の強化を行い，さらにネットワークを用いたサービス機能を付加した．そして本システムを鹿児島大学工学部情報工学科の教育用電子計算機システムに適用した．本稿では，システムの特徴とその実現方法について述べる．, The distributed multimedia platform 'DEMPO II', which will be important for studying next generation of computers environment, has been developed. 'DEMPO' was consisted of network manager, 3-D screen software management software, electronic meeting system admitting chats, and multimedia database. Based on the results of one year experiment, we have developed 'DEMPO II'. 'DEMPO II' has improved each functions and added the service functions using network. This system has been applied to educational computer system of Kagoshima University. We report features of this system and their implementation methods in this paper.},
