Because a user plays a central role in the cooperative system to support teamwork, the way the user interact with the system, and the way the users interact with each other through the collaborative system is a crucial part of the system design process. In other words, it is very important to design according to a model and a theory of group communication and collaboration. In this paper, we describe a design approach based on the coordination process model and show an actual design and prototype system for supporting real-time group tasks.
