This system may support a classroom, in which a teacher lectures for students in a remote computer practicing room. In the teacher side, a picture of the classroom is always displayed, and the teacher is always seen on a screen in the classroom. For questions and answers a direct connection between the teacher and any student in the classroom can be set up for video and audio channels. Additionally, this system is equipped with a shared cursor between a teacher and students, a blackboard system and a note system. Three kinds of distance learning classrooms have been tried; (1) between Osaka University and Kagoshima University, (2) between two buildings in Kagoshima University, and (3) within a computer practicing room.
